I came to OBX today with an open appetite to savor some of the most delicious foods that the OBX community have to offer. Starting off with Ten O Six, this was the first on my list and it did not disappoint. I asked for their recommendation and the top dishes were all Peruvian food. So I ordered the Peruvian tamales and oyster basket, and my god, they were fire! The tamales were moist and bursting with flavor. It was the best tamales I have ever had, and when I say that I have had thousands and thousands of tamales from around the world. The oyster basket was prepared to perfection, not greasy, not overly heavy with batter and not soggy. The homemade fries were flavorful and the oysters were fresh and succulent. The prices of food at this establishment is very reasonable and the location had outdoor seating for patrons. I just wished their restroom was made public, but I understand that this isn't always made available by other restaurants in town as well... not sure why. Anyhow, I give this place a 9/10 score! The owners are great and friendly! The food they prepare is done with love and care! I'll be back!!!
The breakfast burrito was so good! It had everything that I wanted. Lots of meat, cheese, eggs, etc. The caramel macchiato was not so sweet. I could taste the coffee beans. The server was friendly and the service was fast! Too bad it was windy so we couldn't eat outside right away. I can imagine this spot being very popular during the warmer seasons.
The service was great and the food was delicious! You order at the counter then either take out or sit at one of the picnic tables outside. I had the Greek'n Me Out bowl and a regular latte and enjoyed them both!
This place is awesome. Everything tasted so fresh. The burrito was massive. Probably the best bang for your buck on the street. Small little place with outside seating. Definitely coming back.
I like their baskets for lunch. Have tried the chicken tenders and the fried oysters. Both were solid but the real stand out are the fries and they give you a ton. People who work there could not be nicer. Sometimes the parking lot can fill up which can be a challenge.
Open early for breakfast! We got breakfast to go. Burritos were loaded with filling and packaged well to be able to eat in the car. Very easy to make substitutes (I don't do onions)!! Coffee was hot and with just the right amount of flavor added. The menu looks good for lunch as well..
